Happy Birthday Morgan!

Morgan turned 19 years old today! She is still my favorite go-to-girl and I am thankful she has put up with me the past 6 years.  Here is to another 6 years (and more) of adventures, silly faces, and pleasurable rides together. Much love to my Morgie Moonpie! 💘

Happy Birthday Luppy!

Luppy turned six today ... she got to celebrate with a doughnut ... and whipped creme.  Because whipped creme is an essential component to ensuring a birthday is very happy!

Birthday Walk

Luppy wanted to go for a walk this morning.  Sounded like a splendid way to start the morning so I grabbed a leash and off we went.  Saw lots of snake tracks today, even a sidewinder track.  Fortunately, none of the tracks were near the house and we didn't see any live ones.

Happy 18th Birthday Morgan Moonpie!

I handed the camera to our 4 year old and asked him to take pictures of Morgan and I to celebrate her birthday and our fifth year together ... these shots made me smile.

So does Morgan.  Looking forward to many more years with you Morgie girl.

She was done eating before we were done singing ... and she didn't share with the other dogs. :)

Let the Dino Weekend Begin

It's my birthday Monday and the girls at work did some redecorating in my office ... dinosaurs everywhere!

(Notice the Breyer horses ... a black Morgan for Rhu and a dark bay Morgan for Morgie)

 

They bought me four dinosaur snouts to wear, but I couldn't wear them alone ... 

So I recruited some help!

My boss explained the snouts were supposed to go on your nose.

Oh.

That seemed almost normal, so I went back to wearing it on my forehead for the rest of the day.

Starting the new month out right ... full of cuddles and smiles

It was wet, cold, and windy yesterday.  Today it was wet, cold, and windy.  Since it wasn't getting any better, I decided to hang out with Morgan for a while.

 

We celebrated her "birthday" by sweet talking Bill into taking a few pictures of Morgan and I before we went for a ride.  Morgan found a few mints in my pockets and was happy to stand around snacking and posing.

Nothing says Happy Birthday like cheesy photos!

 

We only rode for a few minutes ... the wind picked up and was blowing sand in our eyes.  So, I rode Morgan home, untacked her, and gave her some warmed beet pulp before returning her to the herd.  

I just adore my Morgie girl and look forward to many more years with my bestie.

Luppy's 5th Birthday

Every year we get Luppy a birthday "cake" and sing happy birthday to her.  Whenever she hears the happy birthday song, she runs to the refrigerator and sits in front of it, fully expecting a can of whipped creme to appear.  It's rather amusing.

Nothing says happy birthday like twinkies. Just saying.

This year she was treated to her very own twinkie, because what puppyhood would be complete without that spongy goodness?  And yes, we did add whipped creme on top.

Luppy did her "give it to me now" dance, followed promptly by snarfing of the twinkie.  A good time was had by all.
